My Technological Symphony: A Harmonious Career Journey

My career journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, with technology as the constant thread weaving through each of my professional roles. It is a tale of perseverance, adaptability, and a passion for innovation, with each chapter of my story highlighting the impact of technology on my work life. Along the way, my educational experiences have played a pivotal role in shaping my career.

The Prelude: Laying the Foundation at the University of Texas at El Paso

My journey began at the University of Texas at El Paso, an institution known for its strong business and technical programs. The diverse and dynamic campus provided the perfect environment for me to broaden my horizons, gain valuable insights into the world of business, and embrace the world of microcomputer technology. The skills and knowledge I gained at the University of Texas at El Paso prepared me for the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.

The First Movement: Technology Takes Center Stage in Manufacturing and Sales

With a solid educational foundation under my belt, I embarked on a journey through the world of manufacturing and sales. My first significant role was as an Operations Manager at ASO Corporation, where I directed the daily operations of a fast-paced medical device packaging facility. Technology played an increasingly important role in my work, as I discovered how it could be harnessed to drive efficiency, revenue growth, and operational excellence.

At Super-Sensitive Musical String Company, my position as Vice President of Business Operations allowed me to implement Units Per Labor Hour (UPLH) metrics, which led to significant improvements in productivity and cost reduction. These achievements were made possible by the combination of my technical and business education.

The Second Movement: Orchestrating Technological Innovation

As my career progressed, I joined Gatchell Violins as the Vice President of Operations. I was now at the forefront of process improvement initiatives, leveraging technology to streamline operations and enhance productivity. One of my most significant accomplishments during this time was the implementation of the Microsoft Dynamics ERP system. This cutting-edge technology transformed our organization's accounting overview and optimized our business processes. The knowledge and skills I gained at the University of Texas at El Paso were invaluable in helping me to navigate this complex technological landscape.

The Third Movement: Blending Technology and Creativity in Retail Health

In my role as a Retail Health and Personal Care Products Research and Development Project Manager at Constant Companion LLC, I pushed the boundaries of what technology could do. I owned, designed, and built product lines within Amazon, Google, and Apple ecosystems, using my technical know-how and business acumen to stay ahead of industry trends. The foundation I built during my time at the University of Texas at El Paso proved instrumental in helping me to innovate and excel in this rapidly evolving industry.

The Finale: A New Chapter in Healthcare and Strategic Planning

My most recent roles at Vertical Health Concepts have allowed me to apply my technological expertise in new and exciting ways. As a Medicaid Provider Enrollment Specialist, I utilized technology to streamline processes and maintain accurate records of provider enrollment information, ensuring compliance with Medicaid regulations and requirements.

In my role as Chief of Staff to the CEO, I worked closely with the executive team to develop and implement the organization's strategic plan, foster clear communication, and identify areas for improvement. The educational experiences I had at the University of Texas at El Paso continue to shape my career, providing me with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in each new challenge.

As I reflect on my career journey, I am grateful for the role that technology has played at every stage. My time at the University of Texas at El Paso laid the foundation for my success, and I eagerly look forward to what new opportunities and innovations the future holds.

Early life

I grew up in the rugged terrain of West Texas, near the town of Clint. It was a time when the area was still heavily reliant on agriculture and ranching, so I spent much of my childhood surrounded by fields of cotton and vast herds of cattle. The landscape was tough and challenging, but it taught me the value of hard work and resilience.

Growing up, I loved spending time outdoors, exploring the rugged terrain around my home. I was an avid dirt bike rider and enjoyed spending my weekends tearing up the trails and pushing my limits on the rugged terrain. The nearby caves in the Guadalupe Mountains provided me with a sense of wonder and awe at the natural beauty of the area.

But I wasn't just an adventurer and outdoor enthusiast. I was also deeply connected to my community and the people around me. I spent many hours volunteering with local organizations and helping out on my family's farm. I learned the value of hard work and dedication from my parents and grandparents, who had all worked tirelessly to make a life in this part of the world.

Growing up in West Texas was tough, but it also taught me the importance of community and working together to achieve a common goal. I was deeply committed to my education and to my family, and I never lost sight of my dreams and aspirations.

As I grew older, I began to explore the world beyond West Texas. I traveled to Juarez, Mexico, and was fascinated by the vibrant culture and way of life I found there. I also ventured further afield, attending college in another part of the state and eventually moving to the city to pursue my career.

Throughout my life, though, I remained connected to my roots and to the values that I had learned growing up in West Texas. I remained an adventurer and outdoor enthusiast, always seeking out new challenges and pushing myself to be the best that I could be. I remained deeply committed to my community and to the people around me, and I never forgot the lessons I had learned from my family and from my experiences growing up in the area.

Looking back, I see that I embodied the spirit of West Texas, with its rugged determination and deep love of community and the natural beauty of the land around me. My story serves as a reminder of the importance of hard work, dedication, and a deep love of the outdoors. It is a story that speaks to the power of community and to the resilience and strength of the people who call this part of the world home.
